I've never tried that in PvP... but I have noticed that in PvE, when you stop targetting an enemy your pet has a tendency to wander. It stops attacking your target, or sometimes stops attacking at all. So getting the pet to stay close enough to enemies to smite could be difficult.

yah Algren, I goofed and wasn't clear enough to make it a funny reply. I meant an all-pet skill build. I stink!

You guys all got it wrong, the next FOTM is 8 bonder monks cross-bonding with mantra of resolve, interrupts, and 8 cover enchants each, enemies will be forced to suicide to create wells of the profane, it's the most genius plan EVAR!

I agree. Fought them today in HoH. We coudn't get the throne and they won?! They all attack the same target at once (Usually the E/Mo smiter (Me)) and they kill them off fast.

Actually we fought other teams like this but we won and god it was funny one wanted us to come to them in their starting point and so went our warriors in the the middle of them all and smite finished them in 15 secs how evil. I wonder what they were think. Now I'm off topic.

And then I think it was some Korean guild we fought who had quite a few mesmers except they were quite mixed, putting on a lot on conditions. They had warriors, mesmers, necros and monks.

well idk about the earth bal damage...lol looks like some variation of the flareway build.....plus a hex heavy me/n would destroy that earth/flare fast cast build...ez...

and idk about the invica pally build....

me im personally into 4 r/me with kindle, duel/pene shot, savage, punishing, distracting, favorable/winioning, hex breaker and res.....a E/N with wards and rigor mortis and lingering.....and 2 healers and prot with the usual.........but even this can be owned......a friend is looking at a AoE damage build with barrage and some other skills

pet smiter.....been done before...smiting in general is ez stopped.....really no point in wasting a slot with a guywho can be ez shut down.....

how is that invincible? necro spike will OWN that build becasue the damage is split from each attack so prot spirit/prot bond wont stop it. not to mention the fact that you carry rend with that build. a group of 8 mesmers would embarass that group.

just because these builds are popular, it doesnt mean they work and you really dont need to run counters to them. sure lots of people run smtie and iway, but any decent balanced team will easily take them down. sure its annoying to run into them so much but the fact that they dont do much makes it so much easier to just shrug them off.

You missed the Sarcasm.

Anyways, yeah Ranger spiking build is the next FOTM. As a monk, I can tell you they really do own pretty much any player. Sure you can cast Aegis or Guardian but Rigor Mortis comes handy in there.. I go down quite fast.

yah ofcourse ranger spike, how can you refuse the option of prot spirit circumventing packets of damage delivered in extremely short time. extremely simple to do, and offers the option of at least 9 interrupts for preventing enemy ghostly's capping. it also completely pwns iway if they spike the iway necro straight up and win complete corpse control.

whats funny about this is that whenever there is atleast 2 ranger spike teams in an altar match with any other team, that other team could almost guarantee a win by capping early and letting the ranger teams interrupt each other at the end. and that third team will prolly be some leftover iway team that hasnt caught up with the times yet hehe
